Cornets End Lane & Mercote Hall Lane 30 MPH Maximum Speed Limit Consultation

SMBC has regular liaison meetings with the Quarry Operator, Ward Councillors & Meriden
Parish Council regarding the impact on Cornets End Lane. The issue of vehicle speeds on Cornets
End Lane has been raised as a concern. As a consequence, it is proposed to reduce the existing
40mph speed limit on Cornets End Lane & Mercote Hall Lane to 30mph to mitigate the risks to
vehicles and pedestrians utilising this route.

It is recommended that a the existing 40mph speed limit be revoked and a 30mph speed limit
introduced.
